The Migration to the East Coast of the United States in the 1800s was from many Different Countries in Europe
Large numbers of the children that went in the Eastern Coast of The United States both as parents and as children. With fathers and mothers from places like Great Tataria in Northern Russia Eastern, Europe and Western Europe or for many different regions.
There were children from Eastern Europe
There were children in Eastern Europe from places like Poland other countries such as Hungary and Bulgaria if you go across to Western Europe like countries like France, Germany, Spain Portugal and Italy. They were taken on the Freight liners and the passenger ships across to the harbour of New York City and throughout the Eastern United States
While The Orphan Trains Happened There were many Orphans being shipped all over the World
Besides the Orphanages all over Europe and the United States, there were many in Australia.
Orphanages were set up in Australia and They were called The Home Children in the 1800s
In Australia they were called the Home children, a child migration scheme founded by Anne MacPherson in 1869. In cities like Sydney and Melbourne and others such as Hobart and Darwin there was huge amounts of children being brought in from places like the United Kingdom of Great Britain, as well as places like France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. Involving over 100,000 children and the programme was stopped in the 1930s but carried on til the 1970s.
