Welcome to this game thread called 'One word'! Just one word can make a huge difference. While participating in this thread you'll have to think about answers and questions. At times it will be difficult to find but one word to describe your answer to a question. What questions are you allowing yourself to ask other people? What questions do you have about life?

Rules:

Reply with one word to the question, think of and type a new open question for the next INlighter visiting this thread and press enter.

I'll start off:

Did you know that "arts" is both an English and a Dutch word? In Dutch it means doctor/physician 🙄 🙄

I LOVE creating stuff! 15 years ago it was my turn to get my gift from underneath the X-mas tree. I had been observing it for a while. It was a jute bag held together by a rope with a tag that had my name on it. There were 12 of us and I felt a little embarrassed as I went to collect my present in front of the group, as I didn't know most of the people. So I bent down to take the bag and I grabbed it by the rope around it's neck. I turned towards the audience and as I did so, the bag did not move. Not an inch! Some people in the group burst out laughing. Those with insider knowledge! It turned out that inside the bag was a 25-pound soapstone. I had never worked with it before. About ten years later, the stone 'spoke to me' and I saw that there was a rose trapped inside it. The perfect gift for someone who had helped me tremendously:

Welcome to the thread 'What frequency are you listening to?'!

Frequency is everywhere and when we choose to listen to music, we choose listening to frequency. Listening to music has an impact on all of us. Music is the easiest proof that frequency can change our mood. This implies that we can use music to feel and not to feel emotions at the same time. For instance, you're listening to dance music because you are worried about whether you passed your exam.

Attachment to emotions is perhaps generated by our egos, although our body has a memory for emotions on its own which is of course how we can feel them in the first place. However: we aren't our ego's. We are born with the freedom to choose how we deal with emotions and thus shape and create our personal stories. We can use music to trick our ego and become someone else to a level of changing ego-identity, because it would only be in Utopia where you can find a truly egoless human being. In this dimension and day of age, we need our egos and have to use our egos to our best advantage.

The music speaks to the frequency of your ego. It can show you what you believe, what needs to be dealth with and what you can let go off.

Rules:

Listen to (part) of the music video that was posted most recently.

Describe what impact the music had on your frequency, mood or ego.

Pick a new music video to your liking and attach the link to your reply in this thread.

If you want to share anything about the music video you picked, we love reading it!

Remember to subscribe yourself to this thread if you like to focus on your frequency.

The Ouroboros is an ancient symbol depicting a serpent or dragon eating its own tail. The ouroboros entered Western tradition via ancient Egyptian iconography and the Greek magical tradition. It was adopted as a symbol in Gnosticism and Hermeticism and most notably in alchemy. Some snakes, such as rat snakes, have been known to consume themselves. The term derives from Ancient Greek οὐροβόρος, from οὐρά oura 'tail' plus -βορός -boros '-eating'.

The ouroboros is often interpreted as a symbol for eternal cyclic renewal or a cycle of life, death and rebirth; the snake's skin-sloughing symbolises the transmigration of souls. The snake biting its own tail is a fertility symbol in some religions: the tail is a phallic symbol and the mouth is a yonic or womb-like symbol.

One of the earliest known ouroboros motifs is found in the Enigmatic Book of the Netherworld, an ancient Egyptian funerary text in KV62, the tomb of Tutankhamun, in the 14th century BCE. The text concerns the actions of Ra and his union with Osiris in the underworld. The ouroboros is depicted twice on the figure: holding their tails in their mouths, one encircling the head and upper chest, the other surrounding the feet of a large figure, which may represent the unified Ra-Osiris (Osiris born again as Ra). Both serpents are manifestations of the deity Mehen, who in other funerary texts protects Ra in his underworld journey. The whole divine figure represents the beginning and the end of time.

Welcome to the game thread called 'Finding Symbols'! The goal of the game is to gain as much knowledge about the symbols in the picture as possible.

How this game works:

Read the thread back to the last image posted to find out what we are talking about and which symbols have already been explained.

Can't find any more symbols? Post a new image. anything goes as long as it contains symbols. If you want, you can mark the symbols you observed and post this as a second image.

If you post a new picture, leave us with a description containing the name of the artist, the year it was produced, the medium used, where it is right now and why you chose it.

By playing this game, you help to raise consciousness, build our community and train your own brain in the process.

INlighten yourself and others. Remember to subscribe yourself to this game if you want to keep informed about the symbols we discuss here. If this game has inspired you, please have a look at our other Forum topic about Symbols.

Here we go!

This picture is from the book La Galérie agréable du Monde printed by Pieter van der Aa in Leiden, the Netherlands 1729. This book was a bestseller at the time and is to be found in a lot of University libraries, as well as online. There are several volumes. I chose this print because it fascinates me that none of the women look very happy. What symbols do you see?
